Hope, Meals, and a Hand Up

Manna Dream Center serves Fayetteville families facing hunger, homelessness, and hard times with real, practical support.

About Us

On Ray Avenue in Fayetteville, NC, Manna Dream Center operates on a straightforward conviction: people in crisis deserve more than a handout. They deserve to be treated with dignity. Rooted in the love of Christ, the Center reaches neighbors affected by homelessness, hunger, and the everyday emergencies that can unravel a life, offering programs built around lasting stability rather than a quick fix.

The work here is hands-on and personal. Volunteers and staff show up Monday through Thursday to make sure Fayetteville families have access to hot meals, essential goods, and a path forward. With a 4.6-star rating across dozens of community reviews, the Center has earned the trust of the people it serves, one interaction at a time.

Manna Dream Center does not try to do everything. It focuses on the gaps that matter most: children going hungry over the weekend, men with nowhere to sleep, mothers stretched past their limit. That focus is what makes the difference.

What We Offer

Backpack Buddies sends children home on Fridays with food to carry them through the weekend, because hunger does not pause when school does. It is one of the Center's most direct investments in the next generation of Fayetteville.

For men experiencing homelessness, the Men's Shelter offers more than a roof. Residents have access to mentorship and skills development designed to help them rebuild, not just survive. The Manna Lunches program provides hot meals to community members in need, and the Community Store gives neighbors a place to find essential goods with their dignity intact.

Together, these four programs form a safety net that catches people at different moments of need. Whether a family is facing a rough month or a man is starting over from nothing, Manna Dream Center meets them where they are.

Why Choose Us

Faith-rooted mission focused on dignity, not just charity, for every person who walks through the door.
Four distinct programs address hunger, homelessness, and family need under one community-centered roof.
Backpack Buddies ensures children in Fayetteville have food through every weekend, not just school days.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 stars by over 60 community members who have experienced the Center's care firsthand.
Open Monday through Thursday so that support is consistently available throughout the work week.

"I’m a person that likes to work hard for things and I don’t like asking for help ever because people can act funny. But I regret asking these people for help with my lights. I follow the steps and everything, and I gave them the lease that I was given from my rental office. The lady named Rose or Rosie. I don’t know how you say. It disrespected me to the fullest of the most high we were on a phone call she was asking me all these questions. I told her how I haven’t. My children have never seen their father and my father. Their father doesn’t help me. I also said he ran away to Africa to not help with his kids, and I then said he came back from Africa in went to Florida His birthday all this on the phone that she kept asking questions that have nothing to do with my application like she was gonna help me with them knowing she couldn’t. I give her all the information and she says you need to read your lease because it says it’s in Florida and instead of looking it up when you look it up, the people who owned my apartments it’s a company that resides in Florida, but they own property in different states and I also told her that my kids father was my abuser. She proceeds to email me and calls him my partner, calling me a liar not even taking the time to actually do the research on the apartment complex and she told me to get a new lease document. I contacted my Rent office and a Rent office told me to come up there and I did and the lady edited the document for me and sent it back to me in my email. She then again and insinuate that I’m lying and again not doing not all shadow is looking up cause when you look it up it’s right there. I feel disrespected, not listen to in the fact that she called my abuser. My partner is very disgusting to me. Very disgusting. This right here is why I never wanted to ask for help in the first place. she went on to say they were fraudulent documents when I’m trying to tell her the way the document is how it was sent to me how I downloaded it a rent café when it was put on there."

"So a friend of mines encouraged me to check out the dream center stating that they had a diaper bank and that they really help mothers in need. So I actually was in need about 2 weeks ago. I call to schedule an appointment and the lady scheduled my appointment 2 weeks out. I’m in need now but I have to wait 2 weeks. Ok no problem because help is help and the way my friend said they help she said it would be worth it. So here we are today I’m so excited bc my girls could really use some diapers and it was a complete waste of time for me. Now I know what you’re thinking I sound so ungrateful but 10 diapers a child and 1 pack of wipes for 2 kids is a complete waste. People donate and expect for those in need to be helped and this is not help. I will never go to a diaper bank again in life. If you donate to this place please stop they are not helping others."
